ABOUT THE SITE
merej et is a shipping fan site, conceived in the summer of 2006 and published in October of 2008 by a vaseshipping/servantshipping fan who believed that her favorite pairing fandoms never quite received the love and attention they deserved. I go by many online handles, but here you can call me Nefermaatkare (Egyptian for "Good is the truth, the light of the soul"), you may call me "maat" for short.
I became a vaseshipping fan in after seeing Mana for the first time in the anime (4K!Ds version). I instantly thought that Atemu and Mana were just so cute together, and I became a supporter of this pairing. Before long, I began searching for fan art, fan fiction, doujinshi, and other paraphernalia in support of this pairing. Being upset over how little there is to be found, I ended up with the decision to make a vaseshipping fan website.
In summer of 2006, Cheddar's Music and Art Website, under the URL of http://cheddarismyname.freeservers.com, was created. Cheddar's Music and Art Website was actually more or less of an artistic dump which was half-vaseshipping fan site and half-sheet music download site. The website, unfortunately, didn't cater well to viewers needs, and it was later discovered that the FreeServers pop-up ads were adware, causing me to finally shut down the website in August of 2008. Looking for a service that will allow me to host a site for free without compromising the needs of viewers, I found my way to SynthaSite (now Yola), and was extremely pleased with its service. Thus, merej et, and its sister site, Cheddar's Sheet Music, finally opened in October of 2008.
Since 2008, I've been updating the website. Granted I don't update regularly (but that is because there isn't much content to go on!), but I do update. Let the vaseshipping fandom live on.
