FAN FICTION FANTASY
Fan fiction is one of the many ways that fans show their love for a specific pairing. Although vaseshipping isn't considered a canon paring and is mostly based on speculation, fans of the pairings can still have fun fantasizing on the "what if?"s and see how they play out.

Got a fan fiction you would like to see on this list? If you would have any fan fiction you would like to suggest to add to this list, feel free to drop a comment in the website blog. Please avoid suggesting stuff posted on fanfiction.net (as that website is crawled a lot); I'm trying to give greater access to stuff that is off the beaten path, so to speak.

WEBMASTER'S FAN FICTION:

A Love I Once Knew (PDF file). NOTE: Technically, this story is not mine, it was original started by someone with online handle sassiegirl from the old 4K!dsTV forums, but when she left, I took up the pen and ended up completing it. I luckily saved the story in a PDF file before the site went defunct.

Plot: Atemu (in the modern world) somehow magically summons Mana to present times, and her culture shock is a challenge that she and Atemu must overcome.
Warnings: Nothing serious, but it does end in sadness and tragedy that could count as a major character death for some.
Truthfully In My Soul (mediaminer) (FF.net)
Plot: In a world where love seems to be impossible among royalty, can the love between a pharaoh and a court magician girl even exist?
Warnings:None

ONLINE COLLECTIONS/COMMUNITIES:

(Warning: some collections have stories with mature content rating.
Use the site's rating system to sort!).

Rare but True (fanfiction.net) - A large community dedicated to collecting vaseshipping fan fiction published on fanfiction.net, all with various rating levels (For a non-explicit, completed story, I recommend "Papyrus" by Evening Lilacs. It's very well written, hilarious, funny, romantic, and touching.)
(Rating Mechanism: Uses letter grading, lowest is K->T)

Vaseshipping Area (fanfiction.net) - This community is small in comparison to Rare but True, it's smaller in size (only nine stories last I checked as of July 24, 2009), but, hey, in this case, two is better than one because they can cast a wider net for indexing vaseshipping stories that may otherwise get lost in the sea of other Yu-Gi-Oh! fan fictions in the FF.net community. (Link defunct)

Vases are Beautiful (fanfiction.net) - Another large community, with a wonderful idea for a title, too! "Vases are Beautiful" is a fairly large selection of vaseshipping stories.
(Rating Mechanism: Uses letter grading, lowest is K->T)

Vaseshipping_4Ever (fanfiction.net) - Described as a "Vaseshipping Wonderland", I think this C2 community fits well up to its name, containing a collection of stories in both English and Spanish.
(Link defunct)

Atem/Mana (archive of our own.org) - This is the default setting for searching
(Rating Mechanism: Uses a color/letter grading in conjunction with website's ratings; lowest is G/green with "No Archive Warnings Apply"/white.)

FAN FICTION COLLECTIONS IN OTHER LANGUAGES:

Gamenojikanda blog - Hope you got a good grasp on Italian! Here's an Italian forum thread that has a collection of Italian vaseshipping stories. (Don't understand Italian? Try out Google's translations of the website) (Rating mechanism: Uses color grading; lowest is green)

VASESHIPPING-THEMED FAN FICTION (not listed in fanfiction.net, organized by preference):
Plot: Mana wonders about how close she can be to her childhood friend, the pharaoh.
Webmaster's opinion: This is one of the best fan fiction one-shots I have ever read. It's is beautifully written and well done. An absolute must-read.
Warnings: Slight reference to being in bed together.

Paper Wings (by art-lover-ree(Link defunct. Please use the WayBack Machine to access this story)
Plot: Atem and Mana have to become separated for a long period of time due to Atem's training to become the pharaoh. However, what is the reaction when they meet up again?

Webmaster's opinion: There's a few typos here and there, but they don't diminish its quality. Beautifully well-written and well done. Another must-read story.
Warnings: None
It's my Life (by atemandmana) (link defunct)
Plot: Shimon tells Atem that he [Atem] has to pick a princess as a bride. And Mana has to decide whether she should idly sit by or take a chance and voice out.
Webmaster's Opinion: A cute story with a cute ending.
Warnings: Contains high amount of spelling and grammar errors, bad indentation
Plot: Mana and Atemu are hanging by the palace garden pool, where she suddenly steals a kiss from the pharaoh.
Webmaster's opinion: It's a bit too short for my taste, and perhaps much too open-ended, but, it's kind of cute.
Warnings: None
You Belong to Me (by DarkDranzer) (link defunct)
Plot: Atem is the star football player of his school, dating the beautiful cheerleader Tea. Mana is a nerd and a geek who doesn't seem to have a chance with Atem (or does she?)
Webmaster's opinion: The story is based off of a Taylor Swift music video (where a geeky girl gets the hunky fottball player in the end). It's cheesy, but still a fun read.
Warnings: Tea bashing
.

Plot: Set in modern times, Atem and Mana meet up at the sidewalk, then go to her apartment and have a small chat.
Webmaster's opinion: This was part of a RPG on a LiveJournal chat, and it kind of has the consistency of fluff (the author does tell us to "beware the fluffeh"). It's given a PG rating, but other than the alcohol-implied snippet snuck into the dialogue and slight flirting, you're not going to find the typical romantic scenes here (apologies to my viewers who are looking for new romantic lovey-dovey fluff to read). Silly blushing moments ensue, I read it for the giggles.
Warnings: Contains alcohol use
You and I (by YugixMeforever) (link defunct)
Plot: Atem and Mana are  royals (Atem being heir to the Northern Kingdom of Egypt, Mana as heir to the Southern Kingdom) whose parents arranged their engagement and marriage to unite the two kingdoms.
Webmaster's opinion: Obviously the idea of Mana as a royal is out-of-canon. Additionally, it's written in play format (which, in my opinion, is not a good way to approach writing fan fiction). But, hey, it does have this really cute scene where Atem pops the question. So, if cute fluffy stuff floats your boat, by all means, go ahead and read this anyway.
Warnings: Contains high amount of spelling and grammar errors, bad indentation
